Latest Costs for KIR Testing for Pick-Up Trucks 2024
The latest cost for the KIR test in 2024 for pick-up trucks has changed. Starting from January 5, 2024, the KIR test retribution fee has been abolished. This is in accordance with Law Number 1 of 2022 regarding Financial Relations between the Central Government and Regional Governments.
As is known, in previous years, the KIR test fee was charged at Rp22,000. This fee does not include the sign fee and additional costs. The details of the KIR costs for pick-up trucks in previous years are as follows.
- KIR test retribution fee: Rp22,000.
- KIR test extension fee: Rp22,000.
- Test sign fee: Rp9,000.
- Sticker test sign fee: Rp4,500.
- Fee for replacing or losing the KIR book: Rp15,000.
- Installation and reinstallation fee: Rp25,000.
- Additional fee for emission test book: Rp10,000
- Additional fee for painting: Rp10,000.
- Additional fee if subject to administrative sanctions: Rp10,000.

If your pick-up truck is going to undergo a KIR test, you need to meet the following requirements.
- Bring a valid vehicle registration certificate (STNK)
- Bring the old KIR book for the pick-up truck (make sure the KIR book is still valid)
- Bring proof of payment for the KIR test.
- Bring a power of attorney if you are not the owner of the pick-up truck (company-owned vehicle).
How to Register for KIR Testing Online
KIR testing for pick-up trucks can now be easily done online. The steps are as follows.
1. Register via the official KIR test site
The steps are as follows.
- Open your phone or laptop, then access the official KIR test site at https://ngekironline.co.id/
- Then fill in the data on the site completely and carefully. You will usually be asked to complete the PKB (Motor Vehicle Tax) destination, vehicle domicile (Province), and the KIR test application request.
- Once the data is filled out completely, click the “Register” button.
- Then select the “Check Registration” menu.
- Then enter the KIR test registration number and perform verification.
- Then pay the KIR test fee for the pick-up truck according to the billed amount.
- Then conduct the KIR test on the pick-up truck and evaluate the test results.
- Once evaluated, you can print the KIR test result document.
2. Register via the official KIR application
In addition to the KIR test site, you can register for the KIR test through the official KIR application. You can use applications like Cek KIR Jakarta, eKIR Jakarta – Booking, or Si Kumis Bookir. The steps are as follows.
- Download the application from the playstore or appstore, then install it.
- Register by entering your email address and phone number.
- Select the “KIR Test” menu.
- Fill in the data as requested by the application, such as personal data and KIR test schedule, then verify.
- Conduct the KIR test according to the schedule set by the application. If you pass, the test results will be sent through the application.
