If the needle on the tachometer is at a certain number, that number must be multiplied by a thousand. For example, if it touches the number 2, then multiply that number by a thousand. Thus, the number becomes 2,000.
Each number on the tachometer indicates how much RPM a car is currently producing. This way of working can only be found on manual tachometers.
On the other hand, in digital tachometers, the way car RPM works is usually more automatic. Thus, drivers do not need to look at the movement of the line that is usually present on manual tachometers.
Make Sure the Needle Does Not Touch the Red Line
As much as possible, the needle on the tachometer should not touch the red line. Especially if it happens too often. A needle that touches the red line too often indicates that your car is prone to wear.
To avoid this, make sure the needle only touches the numbers, especially the number 3. If the needle points to the number 3, then the car is within its normal RPM range, which is 3000 RPM.
