Cabin light damage usually occurs because the bulb or lamp has experienced damage. Although it has its own lifespan, damage can occur earlier due to certain factors.
One example is inadequate environmental conditions, such as damaged roads causing excessive vibrations. If the bulb does not light up, then replacing it is the right solution. And make sure the specifications of the replacement bulb match the manufacturer's recommendations.
2. Check the Light Socket and Fuse
If the light bulb is in good condition or not damaged. To fix a broken cabin light, you should repair the light socket if it is loose or dirty. Although it seems trivial, if the socket condition is not perfect, it can also be the trigger.
Remember, a corroded or dirty socket can disrupt the electrical flow between the socket and the bulb. So, Daihatsu friends can check and clean the light socket to resolve the existing issues.
If it still does not light up, also check the condition of the fuse. If the fuse is blown due to being unable to withstand the load (short circuit), then immediately replace it with a new fuse. The fuse's job is to act as a safety device for the current load.
3. Check the Car Door Locking System
Generally, the cabin light is connected to the car door. If the switch is in the automatic position, the cabin light will turn on when the door is opened. Because there is a connection between the two, if one has an issue, Daihatsu friends can check the connector on the door.
The door locking system usually has a switch or sensor that is connected to the cabin light. If the locking system fails, the cabin light will not turn on even if the door is open.
To address issues with the door locking system, check the switch or sensor on each door. Then repair or replace it if the quality of the components in the door locking system is no longer adequate.
