Public Service Mall – SIM and STNK

Malls are synonymous with shopping and entertainment centers. However, this does not apply to Public Service Malls that do not provide retail outlets for shopping, but are present to serve as a licensing service center for the community. The existence of these Public Service Malls is expected to make it easier for the public to obtain integrated services, so they do not have to visit one building after another to manage certain services.
Public Service Mall – SIM and STNK
Public Service Malls are indeed different from typical malls that serve as shopping and entertainment centers. This mall is present to become a licensing service center for the community. The presence of this mall is the result of collaboration among various parties. Many service stands are available in this mall, including those from the Provincial Government (Pemprov) of DKI Jakarta, the Ministry of Administrative and Bureaucratic Reform, and other public service units in Jakarta.
Thus, this Public Service Mall is here to integrate services, whether from the central government, regional government, state-owned enterprises/regional, or private sectors, into one centralized location. The mall integrates 340 services, consisting of 296 services from the Pemprov and 34 services from the central government. The public can manage various licenses in an integrated manner through a single door, such as passport renewals, SIM, taxes, and other permits.
However, this integrated service mall is currently only available in Jakarta and was inaugurated in mid-October. In the future, the government will continue to develop similar malls for the effectiveness and efficiency of licensing in other major cities, such as Surabaya and Makassar.
For friends who want to manage the renewal of online SIM, it means you must go to the local POLRI Satpas service section. However, if you want to renew or pay the STNK tax, you must go to the Samsat service stand. If you are confused, you can ask the officers at the front door.
Flow in the Public Service Mall
The flow is, when you arrive at the Public Service Mall, you will be directed by an officer to the available digital screen to take a queue number. Then you can go to the registration counter for the service you want. You can check the location of the service stands on the digital screen provided.
For those who want to renew their SIM, it will be easier if you have registered by filling out data on the local Korlantas Satpas website through online SIM. The requirements are the same as when you have to manage the SIM renewal directly at the Satpas service office.
The online SIM renewal process takes no more than one hour, starting from the data submission process, data verification, to taking a photo for the new SIM. This will be different if you have to go directly to the Satpas office, as you will have to queue from the morning and spend more time to obtain a new SIM.
Similarly, if you want to renew or pay the STNK tax. Just go to the Samsat stand in the integrated service mall, then submit the old STNK and original ID card. You can wait, as the process is quick, taking less than 1 hour. Then the officer will announce your name once it has been processed for tax payment. A new STNK can also be obtained.
This integrated service mall provides various services from Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 16:00 WIB. For example, at the Kuningan integrated service mall, on the 1st floor of the mall building, you will find counters for business activity permits, construction and spatial planning permits, and fast track permits. Then on the 2nd floor, there are priority permit counters, land permit counters, consultation counters, priority rooms, and AJIB service counters. Meanwhile, on the 3rd floor, there are service departments, such as those from the Metro Jaya Police.
Now managing the renewal of both SIM and STNK has become easier with the presence of the integrated service mall. You no longer need to run around or queue for a long time just to renew your SIM or pay the STNK tax.
