Understanding What a Car Starter System Is Along with Its Components
Basically, a car is strongly anchored to the entire series of engine components used. The system that initiates all these processes is the car's starter.

Car Starter System and How It Works
What is meant by starter? In layman's terms, you can actually refer to this system as a series for starting the engine.
That assumption is indeed correct, although it seems minimized, but the function of this system is indeed to initiate the rotation of the vehicle's engine.
The engine components will receive initial rotation with the help of a flywheel driven by a starter motor. After that, the engine will be able to rotate on its own as the combustion process begins.
Basically, the way this system works is not too complicated, but there needs to be a series of movements from one component to another.
Based on that information, it can be said that the system will operate with all related components.
In this case, the working principle used is the conversion of electrical energy into rotational or kinetic energy in all engine components. This is where the car starter system operates.
The operation of this system begins from the position of the ignition key turning to the ST or start condition. The electric current from the battery will enter terminal 50 on the magnetic switch, which then the positive power from the battery will go to terminal 30 on the magnet.
These two things will initiate the plunger series on the Solenoid (magnetic switch). It is the plunger that will push the engine's push fork that is close to the pinion gear.
Here, the starter process will continue with the movement of the pinion to transfer the rotation from the dynamo to the flywheel gear. Once this stage is reached, the engine will immediately start with the help of the rotation of the flywheel.
Types of Starters Based on Their Operation
Starting system itself has been developed to facilitate and speed up the process. With the advancement of vehicle technology, the types of operation will become easier.
In relation to this, there are quite a few newer car manufacturers that are already equipped with electric systems.
Electric starter is actually one of the most popular types for newer vehicles today.
The basis of this type of car starter system is the use of electric current to initiate the system. The process is considered faster and is often applied to motorcycle and car engines.
If electric starters are more commonly used for cars, it is different with mechanical starters which require human power. If you imagine that, it is clear.
This type is not feasible for cars. That is why this system is often found in motorcycles in the form of a kick starter.
The last is a system called pneumatic starter. Basically, the starter process of this engine occurs with a power source from air pressure.
It is very unlikely to be applied to cars or motorcycles. The reason is that the engines used will be larger. Generally, this type is used in marine engines.

Car Starter Components
Returning to the starter system that operates due to the series of car components that assist each other. In this case, there are at least 10 components that complete the car starter system.
This system is connected to the starter motor, which is the main part with 3 different types, namely planetary, conventional, and reduction motors.
Within that part, there are at least several important components that must be present and in their best condition. Such as yoke and pole core which are cylindrical in shape and serve to support the field coil and strengthen the magnetic field.
In relation to this, the field coil made of copper winding functions to generate the magnetic field.
Assisted by the pole core and field coil, the armature will convert the electrical energy produced by the battery into mechanical energy. The form of that energy is the torque that comes into contact with the brush.
Meanwhile, the armature brake will perform braking when the rotation begins to detach from the connection with the flywheel. The next components are the drive lever and plunger that serve to push the pinion gear to transfer the dynamo rotation and flywheel.
There is also a brush made of soft copper as a conductor of electric current from the field coil. There is a starter clutch component that acts as a commutator to secure the armature coil.
The car starter components are also equipped with a magnetic switch and a magnetic switch. Their task is to release the pinion and flow electric current through the main terminal. Then, there is also a Commutator that serves as a connection for electric current. And finally, there is the pinion gear that connects the crankshaft and flywheel.
