Vehicle Engine Unstable? Here’s How to Lower the RPM of Fuel Injected Cars
Be happy if you have a car with an injection system. Because vehicles equipped with this system have good performance and smoother usage. It is important to know that one of the factors determining the comfort of the driver is the RPM setting. If the RPM is unstable, then a way to lower the RPM of the injection car is needed. Here is the review.
Handling Self-Rising RPM in Injection Cars
Self-rising RPM in injection cars occurs because the vehicle is rarely serviced. This can cause several vehicle components to become dirty, thereby disrupting the performance of the speedometer. Since cars equipped with injection systems operate using sensors, if one of its sensors is damaged, it will affect the engine's performance.
The cause of the RPM in injection cars rising by itself is due to a problem with the idle speed control (ISC). When there is an air leak in the servo valve due to dirt, it will cause the engine speed to increase. This can happen because the air pressure received by the cylinder part is high.

How to Properly Lower RPM in Injection Cars
The air pressure is measured using a sensor called MAP and then calculated by the ECU. Thus, when there is an increase in air, the engine will automatically rotate faster. One way to lower the RPM of an injection car is to remove the ISC, clean it, and spray it with high-pressure air.
Self-rising RPM is also caused by a mass air flow sensor unit and a dirty air filter. Due to infrequent servicing, this can happen, causing its performance to decline. In fact, both components should be cleaned regularly to provide optimal performance.
Specifically for the air filter, it should be replaced regularly. This is because the air filter plays a very important role in filtering the air that enters the engine. The proper handling is to clean both components using a cleaning fluid and a special spray.
One of the sensors in the air filter tube that should be addressed to lower the RPM of the injection car is the mass air flow. If this sensor is dirty, it will cause the data sent by the MAF to be inconsistent. As a result, the ECU will send a signal to release fuel that is not constant according to its volume.
RPM fluctuations are also caused by problematic vacuum hoses. If the vacuum hose is clogged or leaking, the engine speed will rise by itself even though the pedal is not pressed. To address this issue, you can check it by removing the MAP sensor hose from the intake manifold.
Because of this, you are required to always check the condition of the hoses to ensure that no problems occur. Don't forget to also check the cleanliness of the throttle body for vehicles equipped with the TAC system or Drive by wire as the next way to lower the RPM of injection cars.
Performing regular maintenance is indeed something that cannot be overlooked. Because this relates to your comfort while driving, as well as to display the vehicle's performance more optimally. This maintenance can be done by yourself at home or by taking it to an official service place.
