The Rainy Season is Here, Make Sure Your Car Windows Stay Clear with These Tips

Indonesia has entered the transitional season where rainfall is at its peak. Almost the entire region of Indonesia is drenched in rain. When it rains heavily, one of the issues encountered while driving through the rain is the reduced visibility due to the heavy downpour hitting the windshield.
This condition is indeed unavoidable, but there are several ways to cope with the reduced visibility while driving. How can we manage it? Here are some tips you can apply to ensure your car's view is clear even when driving through very heavy rain.
1. Ensure the Car Windows are Free from Mold
Mold often makes the windows unclear, even when the car has been drenched in heavy rain. There is no other way but to clean or prevent mold from sticking to the front window. The method can be using a special mold cleaner or a cheap alternative like aquarium glass cleaner. Clean the car windows at least once a week, more often if the car gets rained on daily.
2. Maintain the Elasticity of the Wiper Rubber
Do not let the wiper rubber make a loud noise because it sticks too much to the glass, or conversely, it cannot sweep the rainwater from the roof to the window because it is too loose. Always maintain its elasticity to function optimally. This is preventive in nature, and the method is very easy by applying vinegar mixed with water in a 1:1 ratio. You can also apply special liquid silicone for wiper rubber. This action is preventive and can extend the lifespan of the wiper rubber.
3. Ensure the Wiper Reservoir is Always Filled
Filling it with clean water is the most basic method. A better way is to pour in a liquid specifically designed for this device. Additional wiper fluid is widely available in the market and is relatively affordable. However, in a pinch, you can use a cheap alternative by mixing a little water with soap.
4. Apply Rain Repellent Liquid
Do you often feel your view is obstructed even though the windows are frequently cleaned? Perhaps something is wrong with your glass that needs a little lubrication; after all, clean glass certainly makes the view brighter, right? So, to make your windshield shiny again, use rain repellent, which is usually offered in the market at a price range of Rp 40-150 thousand. Isn't it cheap?
