The DKI Provincial Government Provides Vehicle Tax Amnesty on Jakarta's Anniversary Until August 31, 2025

JAKARTA, JUNE 2025, A special gift for residents celebrating Jakarta's 498th Birthday. The DKI Jakarta Regional Government is providing a "gift" in the form of vehicle tax amnesty for residents in its area.

Daihatsu friends must take advantage of this policy regarding vehicle tax payments. This policy could be a breath of fresh air and a sweet gift for Jakarta's anniversary. The policy is valid from June 14 to August 31, 2025.

Policy Basis

The Jakarta government provides incentives to residents in the form of the elimination of administrative sanctions for Motor Vehicle Tax (PKB) and Vehicle Name Transfer Fee (BBNKB). This regulation is stated in the Decree of the Head of the Regional Revenue Agency (Bapenda) DKI Jakarta Number e-0046 of 2025.

This is clearly good news for Daihatsu friends residing in Jakarta. In relation to this policy, taxpayers will not be subject to fines or interest for late payment of PKB and BBNKB.

"The public only needs to pay the principal tax, as the elimination of sanctions is done automatically through the regional tax management information system," said Lusiana Herawati, Head of Bapenda DKI Jakarta.

The elimination of sanctions applies to all vehicles that are in arrears, both personal and business-owned. For arrears of less than 12 months, payments can be made at the Main Samsat, Mobile Samsat, Samsat outlets, or online through the Signal application available in the App Store and Play Store.

The Signal application allows taxpayers to pay taxes without having to queue at the Samsat office. The Payment Obligation Proof Document (TBPKP) can also be sent to the address chosen by the user. However, for arrears of more than one year, taxpayers must still come directly to the Main Samsat.
