Causes of Eco Indicator Daihatsu Terios Not Lighting Up

The Daihatsu All New Terios has a new feature called Eco Idle. Eco Idle or the eco indicator has the main function of saving fuel. The eco indicator can make the car automatically turn off when the car stops, making it more fuel-efficient and environmentally friendly. Why is the Eco Indicator Not Lit on the Daihatsu Terios?

1. The battery condition is weak

For the eco indicator to function, the battery must not be in a weak or drained condition. In fact, starting the car when the battery is weak is not recommended as it can damage the car and make it hard to start.

2. AC standards have not been met

Meet the car's AC standards for the eco indicator to light up.

3. Safety belt is not fastened

Seat belts are important. Make sure you always wear them.

How to Activate the Eco Indicator if it is Not Lit on the Daihatsu Terios

After the above requirements are met, you must drive at least 10 km/h until the light with the letter A lights up. Once the letter A lights up, you can drive the car as usual. When you arrive at traffic and the light is red, you will stop the car. When the car is stopped, the engine will automatically turn off. At this point, do not panic. Stay calm and stay cool.

When the car engine is off and your gear is in N, the engine will not start. You can start the engine by shifting the gear to R or shifting the gear to D or releasing the brake.

Now, when you release the brake, the car engine will automatically turn on.

The system will resume if it reads that the driver wants to drive the car again.

Try to repeat by slowly driving the car and stopping. When the car stops, the engine will automatically turn off. Shift the gear to N then to R, without releasing the brake, and the engine will start again. The same method can also be applied when shifting the gear to R. Without releasing the brake and shifting the gear to R, the car engine will turn on again.

On the side of the ignition key, there is an eco handling switch. If pressed, the eco handling indicator will light up and the eco indicator will not function. Press again to turn off the eco handling.
