How to Check BB Plate Vehicle Tax

Because several cities and regencies above are included in the coverage of North Sumatra Province. To check the amount of vehicle tax bills, you can use the following methods.

1. Check via Unstructured Supplementary Service Data (USSD)

Here’s how.

• Open your phone and select the phone menu.
• Then type *368*117#.
• Then press the call icon. 
• Next, a message “Polda Sumut” will appear on the phone screen. In the message, there are options to choose number 1 for “e-Samsat Sumut”. Number 2 for “Tax Info”, and number 9 for “Back”. 
• Then select number 2, and send the message.
• Then another message will appear saying “Enter Police Number Without Spaces”.
• Then enter the vehicle license plate code you want to check in the message column. Example: BB8181ZU. 
• Next, press the “Send” button, then a message will appear saying “Enter TNKB Color (BLACK/RED/YELLOW).
• Enter the color of the vehicle to be checked according to TNKB. Example: Black.
• Then press the “Send” button, and it will show the information “Vehicle Tax is Still Valid” for the tax status that is paid off. However, if there are tax arrears, the amount of tax bills that must be paid will appear.

2. Check via the e-Samsat North Sumatra website

Here’s how.

• Open your laptop or phone browser, then access the site https://bprrd.sumutprov.go.id
• Then enter the vehicle license plate in the “NO. POLISI” column
• Then select the vehicle color according to TNKB in the “WARNA TNKB” menu. 
• Then press the “CHECK STATUS” button, and the tax status will appear along with the tax bill if there are any tax arrears.

3. Check via the e-Samsat North Sumatra application

Here’s how.

• Download and install the “e-SAMSAT SUMUT BERMARTABAT” application on your phone.
• Then select the “VEHICLE INFO” menu on the application page.
