The ED plate is a license plate code in Indonesia used for vehicles operating in the East Sumba and West Sumba regions, East Nusa Tenggara Province. For vehicles in the East Sumba area, the front code of the plate is ED, and the back code is B. Example: ED 1313 BO. How to Check ED Plate Vehicle Tax
For those of you living in the East Sumba or West Sumba areas, you need to know how to check vehicle tax. Here are the complete steps.
1. Check via e-Samsat website
Checking the ED plate vehicle tax can be easily done online through e-samsat as follows.
- Open your phone or laptop, then use a browser to visit the site https://e-samsat.id/. The site will display the main page with several columns, starting from the plate, number, series, chassis number, to the province selection option.
- Fill in the columns with the appropriate data.
- Don't forget to select East Nusa Tenggara Province in the province selection menu.
- Then, press the "Check Now" button, and the site page will display the vehicle tax information along with the vehicle and owner identity.
2. Check via SIGNAL application
You can also check the vehicle tax through the SIGNAL application as follows.
- Download the SIGNAL application first from the Playstore or Appstore on your phone.
- Once downloaded, immediately install the application.
- Register for a SIGNAL account if you have not created one before. The registration process is quite easy, fill in your personal data according to your ID card, email address, phone number, email password, and a selfie as requested during account registration.
- Then verify your account by entering the OTP code sent by the application via SMS or email.
- Open the application and select the "Add Motor Vehicle" menu.
- Then select the "Vehicle Under Your Name" option.
- Then fill in the police number and chassis number column with the vehicle's license plate number along with the last 5 digits of the vehicle's chassis number. Once filled, the SIGNAL application will automatically display the tax amount that needs to be paid.
3. Check via the NTT Regional Asset Management Agency (BPAD) website
You can also check the ED plate vehicle tax through the official BPAD NTT website. Here’s how.
- Visit the official BPAD NTT website by typing https:bpad.nttprov.go.id/Lap/infopajak in your phone or laptop browser.
- The site will then display the vehicle tax check page. On that page, there is a license plate column with the format DH 1234 AN. Fill in your vehicle's license plate code according to that column format.
- Next, enter the last 5 digits of the chassis number in the chassis number column.
- If you have filled in that column correctly, press the "Check" button and the vehicle tax details will appear completely.
4. Check via the official NTT Samsat application
The NTT Samsat also released a tax checking and payment application for NTT residents. Here’s how.
- Download the "B-Sonto – Samsat Mobile NTT" application on your phone, then install it.
- Then select the "Vehicle Tax Info" menu.
- Then enter the vehicle registration number along with the last five digits of the chassis number.
- Then press the "Check Now" button, and the vehicle tax amount will be displayed.
