Procedures and Processes Applicable to E-Ticketing

Complying with traffic regulations is very important. It is also very useful for personal safety. However, there are still many people who try to violate these traffic regulations. If you have been able to avoid fines from the violations you made, then with the presence of E-TLE or E-Tilang, you will not be able to escape from these sanctions.
E-TLE itself has now been widely implemented. The initial testing started in October 2018, specifically on Sudirman-Thamrin road. So, do you already know about this program?
E-Tilang Process and Procedure
E-TLE itself is actually not something to be feared. In fact, with the presence of this technology, you can feel more comfortable while driving in crowded areas, especially in Jakarta. Therefore, the presence of this program is considered something positive.
Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement or E-TLE, also known as E-tilang, is an electronic ticketing system that uses CCTV as surveillance, so now it is not only the police who are responsible for monitoring traffic order, making the E-tilang process easier.
If a vehicle violates traffic rules and is caught by CCTV, the monitoring room officer can record and note the license plate number of the vehicle that has violated the rules. The owner of the plate will then be given a ticket. Not only that, the driver is also required to pay a fine through the bank within a period of up to seven days.
There are four CCTV cameras installed at various strategic points. These surveillance cameras are installed along Sudirman-Thamrin to monitor any traffic violations. Moreover, these CCTVs can even record vehicle numbers. The purpose is to facilitate the process of imposing sanctions or penalties on vehicles that violate. So, you should not be surprised if you suddenly receive a notification to pay a fine if you violate traffic rules. Even if you do it discreetly, it is in vain, because everything has been recorded by the surveillance cameras.
Tips to Avoid E-TLE
So, how can you avoid being caught by E-TLE? It is actually very easy; you just need to comply with all driving rules. Do not drive against the flow, wear a helmet, do not run red lights, drive at a reasonable speed, and adhere to other prohibitions, then you certainly will not receive a ticket notification. Also, make sure that every time you drive, you must wear a helmet and carry your driver's license along with the vehicle registration. By doing so, you will not have to deal with E-TLE.
The presence of the E-TLE system will certainly simplify or facilitate the bureaucratic process of ticketing and also help avoid illegal levies that are sometimes encountered on the road. E-TLE was officially implemented on November 1, 2018.
The E-TLE process also makes it easier to make payments. You can pay fines through BRI ATMs, mobile banking, internet banking, BRI EDC machines, and through BRI bank tellers. Thus, the payment process will be much easier and more time-efficient. Therefore, drivers cannot excuse themselves for not having time to make complicated payments, because now the entire process is much easier.
Complying with traffic rules is not just to avoid ticket sanctions, but to ensure your safety while driving on the road. With the presence of this new system, all forms of traffic violations will certainly be easier to identify.
