1. Providing Emergency Signals

The main function of the hazard lights is to serve as an emergency signal. Whether in the event of an accident, breakdown, or other emergency situations. When the hazard lights are turned on, it means the driver is signaling other drivers to reduce speed or be cautious because there is a vehicle ahead in an emergency condition. 4. Hazard Fuse

This component serves to secure the components in the hazard light circuit. This component is also often referred to as a safety fuse.

5. ITR and ITL

These components are part of the indicator lights in the hazard light circuit. These components are usually found on the driver's dashboard.

6. Flasher

This component functions to enhance the lighting output of the lights so that the turn signals are brighter and blink when activated.

How the Car Hazard Light Circuit Works

When the hazard lights are turned on, the battery will supply electrical current to the fuse. Next, the current is directed to the light switch or terminal B2. Then the current is directed to terminal F2, and continues to the flasher and F1.

When the switch is turned on, the switch connected to terminals TL and TR will work together to supply electrical current along with terminal F1. As a result, the turn signals will blink, both the front, rear, right, and left turn signals.
