STNK Blocked by ETLE? Here are the Causes and How to Overcome It!
The implementation of ETLE as the latest ticketing system is now widespread in Indonesia. Although the ETLE ticketing system does not directly involve traffic police on the streets like the manual ticketing system, ETLE should not be underestimated. This is because ETLE can monitor every traffic violation in detail. Drivers who violate traffic rules could even have their vehicle registration certificate (STNK) blocked by ETLE.
So what causes the STNK to be blocked by ETLE? To find out more, let's take a look at the following review.
Causes of ETLE Blocking Traffic Violation STNK
The STNK of a vehicle that is blocked by ETLE is due to the driver's vehicle being proven to have committed a traffic violation and not settling the ticket fine. As is known, every traffic violation recorded by ETLE's CCTV cameras will be subject to sanctions according to the type of violation by the local police. Subsequently, the traffic violator will receive evidence of the violation in the form of photos or videos sent by the local police.
After the evidence has been sent, the local police will send a confirmation letter of the traffic violation based on the vehicle's license plate number and the traffic violator's STNK. When the violator receives this confirmation letter, they are required to confirm the receipt of the violation confirmation letter through a platform developed by the Korlantas Polri such as the website www.etle-pmj.info or the etle-pmj application.
The deadline for confirming the letter is no later than five days after the traffic violator receives the letter. The clarification of the traffic violation is similar to the classification of the right to respond in court in the manual ticketing system. In the confirmation of the traffic violation letter, the recipient must clarify whether the violation was indeed committed by them or if the violation was committed by someone else who just purchased their vehicle.
If you are the one who actually committed the violation, you are required to pay the fine as charged. If you do not pay within the specified time limit, your vehicle's STNK will be blocked until you settle the fine payment.
