In the automotive world, brakes are one of the essential parts for the safety of the driver. Now, brakes on four-wheeled vehicles are equipped with various components, such as the master brake. Here are the signs of a damaged car master brake that you need to know.

1. Car Brakes Become Unresponsive

If you have a less than optimal master brake, it will cause various side effects, such as unresponsive brakes.

In fact, the condition of unresponsive brakes is almost the same as brakes that have air in them. You will need to pump the brake pedal repeatedly. This is to ensure that the master brake can function again.

So what actually causes the car brakes to be unresponsive? Often, the cause of unresponsive brakes is that both master seals have started to wear out, but they can still be used and are not completely damaged.

This condition is often marked by brake fluid leaks at the back near the brake booster.

If the signs of a damaged car master brake like this are left unattended, it will certainly endanger you while driving. Therefore, responsive brakes are very much needed on busy roads to avoid accidents.

It is advisable to always pay attention to the condition of the master brake on your beloved vehicle by performing regular maintenance.

2. The Shape of the Master Seal Changes

As is known, brake fluid is an important element that is useful for activating the brake lever. If the brake fluid does not flow normally, this is what causes the master brake to be damaged.

This happens because the condition of the master brake seal no longer expands. A damaged master seal is usually caused by wear and tear and the presence of friction marks that form lines.

The condition caused by the signs of a damaged car master brake will worsen if the brake fluid leaks or drips. Thus, the activated brake lever cannot work optimally to stop the motion of the wheels on the four-wheeled vehicle.

3. The Walls of the Brake Have Rusted

You should know that the inner walls of the master brake serve to keep the braking system functioning safely. Not only that, the brake walls also prevent dirt from entering the brakes.

However, if the walls of the brakes have rusted, this will endanger the condition of the brakes because there are gaps inside. These gaps invite dust to enter the brakes, and eventually, the braking system on your vehicle will become slower.

In addition to dust, the rusted walls will also allow mud to enter the brakes as a sign of a damaged car master brake. Such occurrences will certainly be detrimental to you, as the braking system becomes obstructed.

To avoid any unwanted incidents, it is advisable to always maintain all components of your beloved vehicle, especially the brakes.

Also, pay attention to the signs of a damaged master brake mentioned above, to avoid brake failure while driving your car.
