Not a small amount of money is spent by a company when deciding to recruit new employees to work in their company. From training time, severance pay, to the adjustment of new employees that will certainly take time from the company. This can clearly disrupt the production process that cannot run as usual. Therefore, many companies are reluctant to recruit new employees and tend to prefer to keep employing old employees, or recruit new employees on the condition that they already have similar experience and with a lower salary.

That’s why companies prefer to make existing employees comfortable to continue working. Here are the things that companies must do to ensure employees are comfortable working.

Provide Appropriate Salaries

It cannot be denied that people work to earn money. Because salary is one of the benchmarks that will determine whether employees are comfortable or not to continue working in a company. Therefore, it is highly recommended that companies provide humane salaries in accordance with the work and job descriptions of employees. Do not provide salaries below the minimum standard because this will make employees think about looking for other companies that are more loyal. However, do not provide excessive salaries without clear work.

Hold Regular Holidays for All Staff

Regular holidays are something that every company should hold. Because this is one of the efforts made by the company to make employees not feel bored, tired, and stressed with their work routine. The company can hold regular holidays in the form of outbound activities, as well as tourism. In addition, this holiday will make all employees feel closer and strengthen cooperation. Because it is hoped that when they return to work, everyone will gain a new and better spirit.

Regularly Hold Discussions Between Employees and Superiors

A company must regularly hold discussions between employees and superiors. In this discussion, the company can ask about what employees feel and what problems are currently brewing among employees. Because by doing this, the company will know how the condition of its employees is, and what causes the production process to decline, and then make improvements. However, if production is not declining and is actually increasing, continue to hold this discussion. In addition, do not forget to give appreciation to employees because this will make all employees more enthusiastic about working again.

Create a Pleasant Work Atmosphere

A pleasant work atmosphere is an important factor for employees to feel comfortable working. Because it can exceed the nominal salary and can influence employee performance. Start by establishing routine habits at work, such as praying, smiling, greeting, and saying hello that should not be forgotten by all employees of the company. Maintaining a sense of mutual respect will make all employees feel a family atmosphere at work, and smooth communication within the company will make the work atmosphere enjoyable.

Never hesitate to give awards for employee achievements in the company. Because in this increasingly advanced era, loyal companies will also have loyal employees. It will be very different if the company is reluctant to appreciate the achievements and work results of employees, then employees will also be lazy to work or even want to look for jobs elsewhere that can appreciate them more.

Give gifts when employees successfully complete the company's targets with satisfactory results, promise and tell them as motivation to further improve the quality of their work.

Credible and Inspiring Leadership

A credible leader who can inspire their employees will certainly make employees comfortable working with them. Because there is a direct relationship between inspiring leadership and employee loyalty, considering both have a significant impact on employee engagement and commitment. In other words, a leader must have good skills in their field and be a role model for employees. Because a leader with good skills can inspire those below them and motivate employees to work harder and love their jobs.

Just imagine if a leader does not have credible skills, how can employees respect them, let alone be inspired by them, because what will happen is that they will not be respected by employees.
