Many people find it difficult to maintain a healthy lifestyle in the modern era like today. There are many conveniences that often make people neglect their eating patterns, activity patterns, and so on. A simple example is that your body may be moving less now because there are ride-hailing services and online stores.

The factors that influence a healthy lifestyle are daily habits that can impact a person's health. Many people only improve their daily lifestyle after experiencing health problems. Before that happens, let's learn about 7 factors that influence a healthy lifestyle in modern times.

1. Water Consumption

Ideally, the human body requires 45 – 60 percent water. It is no wonder that drinking water is highly recommended to maintain the body's condition to stay healthy. Although it seems simple, many people are still lazy to drink water. If this is not taken into account, the body can become dehydrated.

Therefore, the recommended water consumption by experts is at least two liters per day. All beverages do contain water, but the recommended two liters should ideally be in the form of mineral water. Roughly calculated, two liters of drinking water is equivalent to eight glasses.

2. Balanced Diet

Not only the intake of water in the body needs to be maintained for balance, but also the nutrients that support the body. Daily food patterns need to be maintained with controlled portion sizes. In addition, it is advisable to consume food with a sufficient composition of carbohydrates, fats, proteins, vitamins, and fiber.

3. Sufficient Rest Time

Daily routines often make someone forget themselves and lack rest time. Many people may engage in enjoyable activities like watching Korean dramas until late at night. It is advisable not to do this because the body still needs sleep to rest the organ functions for optimal metabolism.

4. Emotional Balance

Physical health is indeed important, but emotional balance also needs to be maintained to stay healthy. A person may have ambitions to achieve a goal without feeling tired. On the other hand, the mind is often forced to think without engaging in entertainment or socializing. If forced continuously, emotions can explode or even make someone feel depressed. So, express your emotions and feelings naturally even when tired!

5. Physical Activity and Exercise

Nowadays, everything is very easy even if someone is just at home. Often, distances that used to be covered by walking are replaced by online ride services. This makes the body move less. Activities in front of the computer often make someone too comfortable. At the very least, do regular stretching or get used to walking for short distances.

6. Body Hygiene

No less important than other habits, the body must also be kept clean. Viruses or bacteria may stick and linger on a person's body. If the immune system is not optimal, a person can fall ill. Even if it looks clean, make it a habit to shower twice a day to avoid harmful bacteria and germs.

7. Air Circulation Quality

The increasing number of vehicles makes air quality worse. Air pollution also comes from factory smoke, cigarette smoke, and even air circulation in homes. The body requires clean, quality air for optimal organ function. Therefore, pay attention to air circulation with quality oxygen levels. If possible, manage the environment to keep it fresh by planting trees at home.
