Is the Odd-Even Regulation in Jakarta Applicable on Saturdays and Sundays?
The odd-even program is a program from the Government and Korlantas Polri in traffic engineering to avoid existing congestion. So, is this program still held on Saturdays and Sundays in Jakarta? The answer is no.
According to Governor Regulation No. 88 of 2019 regarding the Amendment of Governor Regulation 155 of 2018 which contains Traffic Restrictions with the Odd-Even System, the odd-even program is held from Monday to Friday from 06.00-10.00 WIB and 16.00-20 WIB. For Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, it is not implemented.
The implementation of the odd-even program itself only applies to non-electric motor vehicles. It does not apply to electric cars and several other vehicles such as TNI-Polri vehicles, ambulances, motorcycles, fuel tank trucks, disability sticker vehicles, accident evacuation vehicles, fire trucks, health service vehicles, taxis, and public transportation.
