Digital Korlantas Polri Application for What, Here Are Its Uses
Many drivers wonder: what is the Digital Korlantas Polri application for actually? This official application from the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps is designed to move various traffic services to mobile phones, ranging from displaying digital driver's licenses, managing driver's licenses online, to checking and paying electronic fines. This way, the public does not always have to come and queue at service offices.
This article summarizes the main uses of the Digital Korlantas Polri application, the availability status of each feature, and how to start using it.
What is the Digital Korlantas Polri Application?
Digital Korlantas Polri is the official application of the Korlantas Polri that makes it easier for the public to access traffic services in one application. This application is available for free on the Google Play Store for Android (minimum version 11) and the App Store for iOS (minimum version 15.6).
This application uses a Digital ID system, which is a digital representation of a physical identity stored online with encrypted data security. User verification is done through facial recognition (face recognition with a liveness feature) connected to biometric e-ID data.
Uses of the Digital Korlantas Polri Application
Here are the main functions of the Digital Korlantas Polri application.
1. Displaying Digital Driver's License
Korlantas Polri launched Digital Driver's License on May 22, 2026, as an initial step in the digitization of main traffic documents. Through the application, drivers can store and display their driver's license on their phones, complete with a QR Code that helps officers verify its authenticity through the centralized Korlantas system. The initial phase is a trial in several regions.
It should be noted that the Digital Driver's License serves as a complement. According to the official Digital Korlantas FAQ, the Digital ID in the application does not replace physical documents, so it is advisable to still carry the physical driver's license while driving.
2. Extend Driver's License Online (SINAR)
SINAR (National Precision Driver's License) is the driver's license service within the application. The extension feature for Driver's License A and C is the most established: applicants do not need to go to the Satpas, and the new driver's license is sent to their home via POS Indonesia or can be picked up in person.
Important things to know:
- Documents: e-ID, photo of the old driver's license, results of physical health tests (Rikkes), psychological test results, blue background passport photo, and a photo of the signature on white paper.
- Health and psychological tests: conducted via erikkes.id and app.eppsi.id in the mobile browser.
- Application time: at least 90 days before the expiration date, but it is recommended to apply 30 days in advance. Expired driver's licenses cannot be extended through the application.
- Cost: Driver's License A Rp80,000 and Driver's License C Rp75,000, excluding admin, packaging, and shipping fees. Payment uses BNI Virtual Account.
- Process: about 3–7 working days, not including shipping, and it can take longer when queues at Satpas increase.
3. Register New Driver's License Online
Several national media explain that the creation of a new driver's license starts with online registration through SINAR, including theory tests from home. After the requirements are met, applicants choose a schedule to go to Satpas for practical tests, and the driver's license is picked up after passing.
However, the official Digital Korlantas FAQ still marks the National Driver's License registration as a service that is "coming soon." Since availability may vary by region and application version, make sure to update the application and check the driver's license menu before proceeding.
4. Manage International Driver's License
The application also serves for the registration and extension of International Driver's License online. After the application is approved, the driver's license is printed and sent to the applicant's address.
5. Check and Pay Electronic Fines (ETLE)
Through the official channel @korlantasid, Korlantas announced that confirmation and payment of electronic fines are now available in the application. To check if a vehicle has received an ETLE fine, users select the ETLE menu, then Check Fine, and enter the vehicle data.
6. Register Digital Vehicle Registration Certificate (STNK)
In September 2026, Korlantas Polri launched the digital STNK as part of the Polri innovation, with this service the public can register digital STNK in the digital Korlantas Polri application. It should be noted that the digital STNK has the same status as the physical STNK, but even so, the physical STNK should still be kept for convenience and security. Because there are times when the digital Korlantas application errors and cannot access the digital STNK.
7. Other Services Under Development
Korlantas mentioned several other features in development, such as information on NTMC Polri CCTV, real-time notifications, as well as E-BPKB and Digital ID Regident in the integrated Polri digital service ecosystem.
