Cara Cek Oli Kompresor AC Mobil & Biaya Gantinya

The car AC compressor oil functions similarly to engine oil, serving as a lubricant. If the compressor oil decreases or runs out, the performance of the AC will also decline. If the AC performance is not optimal, it can disrupt the air circulation in the car cabin. As a result, the temperature inside the car will feel stuffy, thus disturbing comfort while driving.

To avoid this, you need to know how to check the car AC compressor oil along with its costs. For more details, please pay attention to the following review.

How to Check Car AC Compressor Oil

There are several ways to check the car AC compressor oil that you need to know. Here are the complete methods.

1. Pay Attention to the Signs of Low AC Compressor Oil

It is easy to determine whether the car AC compressor oil is still abundant or nearly depleted. You can identify it by understanding the signs when the AC compressor oil runs out as follows.

  • The car AC feels less cold because the depleted AC compressor oil can cause the AC compressor to be unstable. As a result, the AC becomes less powerful during the cooling process.
  • The AC compressor overheats easily because the depleted AC compressor oil causes increased friction between AC components. This occurs because the oil cannot flow to the components inside the AC, making the AC compressor work harder.
  • Loud and rough noises occur due to excessive friction between components inside the AC, which can also cause the AC compressor to fail.
  • The car becomes less powerful when the AC is turned on. This happens because when the AC is on, it requires high power to maintain the performance between components. So if the compressor oil decreases, to maintain the performance between components, the AC will require more power than before.

2. Use an AC Manifold

An AC manifold is a special measuring tool for AC that functions to measure the low pressure of the AC. With this tool, you can determine whether the compressor oil is still usable or not. If it is no longer usable, you can replace it immediately. There are several methods you can use when you want to replace the compressor oil. Here are the complete methods.

  • First, you can empty the AC freon. The method is quite easy; you just need to lift it.
  • Next, empty the AC compressor by rotating or flipping the compressor oil to let it spill out.
  • Next, perform the oil replacement. For the compressor oil replacement process, there are three methods you can choose from.

The first method is to fill the compressor oil through the inlet hole. The second method, you can fill it through the manifold gauge. Before filling, make sure the vacuum process is complete. Then open the manifold gauge seal. Next, open the manifold hose, and fill the compressor oil according to the correct measurement. After finishing, close the hose as it was to prevent contamination from dirt and dust. The third method is to use a recovery tool like the R3 AC tool to suck the compressor oil.

3. Visit a Workshop

If you do not understand how to check and maintain the car AC compressor oil properly, you can visit the nearest Daihatsu workshop to address your issues. The Daihatsu workshop will provide the best service through professional and competent mechanics in their field.

In addition, the Daihatsu workshop also has adequate car repair equipment, spare parts, and guaranteed original car care products.

Cost of Replacing Car AC Compressor Oil

The cost of replacing the AC compressor oil varies depending on the quality of the oil and the draining technique. For standard quality oil, it is usually priced between Rp100 thousand to Rp200 thousand.

Meanwhile, for the oil draining technique using Voita, you need to add approximately Rp400 thousand. So the total cost reaches Rp500 thousand to Rp600 thousand.
