Cara Memanaskan Mobil Matic Berapa Lama? Ini Langkahnya

Automatic cars are currently very popular in Indonesia because they are easy to use. This type of car is like a prima donna for women and beginners who want to learn to drive. Although many Indonesians now own automatic cars, not everyone understands the correct way to warm up an automatic car.

So, what is the correct way? For more details, please pay attention to the following review.

The Right Way to Warm Up an Automatic Car

Warming up an automatic car should be done regularly, such as 2-3 times a week, even if the car is not used. The main purpose of regularly warming up the car is to ensure the engine quality remains optimal. A car that is rarely warmed up can make the engine condition ready to start.

In addition, it can cause the car to stutter while driving. An automatic car should also not be warmed up for too long. If the engine condition becomes too hot, it can cause several new problems, ranging from spark plugs getting dirty easily, corrosion in the exhaust pipe, fuel wastage, to causing overheating

So, how long is the right time to warm up an automatic car? If the automatic car is used every day, you only need to warm it up for 1 to 3 minutes.

However, if your automatic car is rarely used or not used for a long time, you can warm it up for 10-15 minutes.

Here are the steps and ways to warm up an automatic car:

1. Start the engine first

To warm up an automatic car, you need to start the car's engine first. Position the car's ignition from off to on. Wait a moment until the engine indicator turns off to avoid the battery getting easily drained

2. Set the transmission lever to position P

The next way to warm up an automatic car is to set the transmission lever to position P. If the position is correct, start the car. You might be wondering why you need to shift to position P before warming up the automatic car? As is known, every automatic car has several levers, such as P, D, and N. Each of these transmission levers has different functions.

The P lever means the car is parked or stationary. The N position means neutral, and the D position means drive or moving. If you warm up the car with the transmission lever in D or N, it can potentially cause an accident. Especially if you accidentally step on the gas pedal. This condition can make the car move freely, potentially hitting an object in front of it.

3. Avoid warming up the car for too long

After your car is started, let the engine of your automatic car run for the ideal warming time, which is 1-3 minutes. Avoid warming up the car for too long if the car is used for daily purposes, unless the car is rarely used. If the car is warmed up for too long, it can cause several problems as previously explained.

4. Shift the transmission lever to position D when you want to drive

If you plan to travel after warming up the car, you can shift the transmission lever from P to position D. The purpose of this shift is to make the car easy to move and easy to control.

Thus, here are some ways you can practice when warming up your car. How about that, very easy, right? To keep your automatic car's engine in optimal condition, you can perform regular maintenance at a professional workshop or the nearest Daihatsu dealer for proper care.
