Cara Mengetahui Oli Mesin Mobil Naik

How to know if the engine oil is rising is important for you to know as a car owner. Why is that? Because you don't need to do an engine teardown or overhaul, which can be quite expensive.

As is known, engine oil plays a role in lubricating parts of the engine such as the camshaft and piston, so the oil must rise to the top when the car engine starts.

Therefore, if the engine oil does not rise to the top, it means there is a problem with the oil circulation pressure.

How to Know if the Car Engine Oil is Rising

Disrupted oil circulation pressure will cause other components to be affected. In general, it can also be said that the engine oil pressure is lost, causing the oil to decrease.

However, before you take action for an overhaul, it would be better to ensure it first, namely by knowing how to check if the car engine oil is rising as follows.

1. Check Through the Oil Cap Hole

To find out whether the engine oil is rising to the surface or not, you can check it through the oil cap hole itself.

The way to do this is to open the oil cap, then start the car engine while it is stationary.

While your car engine is running, direct your hand to the oil cap hole and try to feel if there are any wet splashes from the engine oil source?

If you feel it, it means the oil circulation is still in good condition. Conversely, if there is none, you need to do an engine teardown immediately.

2. Check Using the Engine Oil Cap

The next way to know if the car engine oil is rising is very safe, namely by using the engine oil cap.

You just need to check it through the engine oil cap itself. First, dry the engine oil cap, and once it is dry, start your car engine.

After starting the car engine, you can check the engine oil cap again; if the inside of the cap is wet, it means the engine oil is rising. However, if it is dry, it means the oil is not rising.

How to Know if the Car Engine Oil is Rising and Its Signs

Knowing if the engine oil is rising is very easy; you don't need to bother going to a workshop to find out. However, if upon checking it turns out that your engine oil is decreasing, you should immediately perform an overhaul.

If you are curious about the signs of rising engine oil, here is more complete information.

1. The Engine Makes a Rough Sound When Started

When you start the car engine, a rough engine sound will be heard. This sound occurs when the engine oil has reached the minimum limit.

2. Weakening of the Car Indicator Light

A sign that the engine oil is decreasing is the weakening of the car indicator light, which only blinks for a moment. The indicator light starts to not light up clearly, so you should be suspicious and check the oil quantity.

3. Engine Oil is at the L Mark on the Dipstick

If there are no clear signs, you can use the dipstick to measure how high the engine oil level is. Decreased engine oil will be clearly visible through the dipstick measurement, which is below the L line.

4. Thick Smoke Appears from the Exhaust

The normal exhaust smoke from the car will emit a transparent color, while thick exhaust smoke may indicate a problem with the engine oil.

This is caused by the evaporation of oil that also reacts in the car's combustion chamber.

Additionally, it can also be a sign of a leak in the piston ring, causing oil to leak and seep into the piston.

Therefore, if you want to know if the engine oil is decreasing, check the color of the exhaust smoke when starting the engine.

That is how to know if the car engine oil is rising along with its signs that you can do and know directly when starting the car engine.
