In driving, we may have been caught in a traffic raid and received a blue ticket sanction. However, do you understand what the blue ticket means?

Although many Indonesians are caught in traffic raids, not everyone knows the significance of the blue ticket. In fact, the blue ticket is a form of warning from the police to traffic violators who admit their mistakes when caught in a raid, such as forgetting to wear a seatbelt, not wearing a helmet, running a red light, and so on.

This is also in line with Article 287 paragraph 1 of Law No. 22 of 2009 which states that "Every driver who violates traffic signs is punished with a maximum imprisonment of 2 months or a fine of up to Rp500,000.

The question that usually arises is whether the blue ticket requires a trial? The answer is no. If you admit your mistake immediately, you will be given an electronic ticket and can pay the fine directly through e-Tilang.

So if you are one of the drivers who received a blue ticket, you don't need to panic because in our article we will discuss how to manage the blue ticket in 2024.

1. Check the Payment Code for the Ticket

When you receive a ticket with a blue letter, it means you must pay the fine for the violation through the e-Tilang system. When you receive the ticket, you will get a payment code for the fine amount.

2. Make the Fine Payment

After you receive the payment code, immediately pay the e-Tilang through an ATM or you can also do it via internet banking (usually using Bank BRI).

3. Keep the Payment Receipt

Once the payment process is successful, you will receive proof of payment for the fine. Keep this proof of payment, and bring it when you go to collect the STNK or SIM that was confiscated by the traffic police.

It's very easy, isn't it? After you know how to pay, you also need to know the range of fines for traffic violations.
