Easy Ways to Present on Google Meet

In the era of the Covid-19 pandemic, virtual meetings became a solution to replace face-to-face meetings. Various applications that support productivity continue to emerge.

Its function is not only to conduct virtual meetings, but it also has a presentation feature that is quite perfect in supporting someone's career.
How to Use Google Meet
So how do you use Google Meet? Here is the complete explanation.
- Open https://meet.google.com
- Select a scheduled meeting, or click Join or Start Meeting.
- Enter the meeting code.
- Click Present.
- Select the window or application.
- Be present during the meeting.
- Join the video meeting.
- At the bottom, select present now Share screen.
- Choose the entire screen, window, or tab.
- If using a Chrome tab, you can share the tab's audio by default.
- To display another tab, select the tab you want to present, click Share this tab.
- Select Share.
- If the camera is on, the video is active during the presentation.
Well, one of the advantages of the Google Meet application is that the meeting organizer has full control over the virtual meeting. There is a feature that can stop participants when sharing the screen with them.
For example, if you disable the presentation in the meeting or the meeting uses the same password, the settings can be saved for the next meeting. Google Meet allows you to "present" presentations virtually to other teams.
Presentations in Google Meet essentially adopt a screen sharing system, allowing you to share a specific screen during a meeting.
In this way, coworkers and team members can see documents, presentations, spreadsheets, or web pages that are viewed and worked on for easier collaboration.
Presenting Using Google Meet
All it takes is a few tabs or clicks to present in Google Meet.
Here's how it works if you want to enable or disable screen sharing:
- Join the Meet video call.
- At the bottom, click Host controls.
- Enable or disable Share screen.
For those using a computer, you can present in Google Meet as follows.
- Join the Google Meet conference.
- Click "Present now," located in the bottom right corner of your screen.
- In the submenu that appears, choose whether you want to share "Your entire screen," "Window," or "Chrome tab."
- Select the area of your screen you want to share in the window that appears.
- Click "Share."
- To stop presenting, select "Stop presenting" in the middle of the screen or "Stop sharing" at the bottom of the screen.
How to Present in Google Meet Using a Smartphone:
- Join the Google Meeting.
- Tap the icon with three vertical dots located in the bottom right corner of the screen.
- In the menu that appears, tap "Share screen."
- Tap "Start sharing."
- A pop-up will appear explaining the risks of sharing your screen with others. Select "Start now" to confirm.
- By tapping the screen, other users should be visible to other meeting members, and the presentation can begin.
- To stop presenting, select "Stop sharing" in the Google Meet menu located in the vertical dot menu called "Stop presenting."
- In the Google Meet window, click Stop Presenting.
- At the bottom, the meeting room owner can also click on the user who is presenting, then click if they want to stop presenting.
- Invite other users if the presentation wants to be seen by more meeting participants.
- At the bottom, click Present now.
- Choose the Entire screen, Window, or Chrome tab.
- Select Present instead.
- And the Join mode is only for presentations.
One note, when joining to give a presentation, the screen will only display the person who is presenting. Other users are not allowed to open other audio or video.
