Flo Tol is the latest innovation in toll payments as this payment method no longer uses e-money. Instead, toll payments are made by installing a special sticker on the car window that can be read by the automatic sensor system of the toll road operator. What is Flo Tol?

Flo, or better known as Let It Flo, is an application developed by JMTO (Jasa Marga Toll Road Operator) in 2017 to facilitate the non-cash toll payment process. Flo itself is a sticker that will be affixed to the surface of the car window. However, this sticker is not just any sticker, as it contains a chip and an antenna. This sticker uses RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology so that when the car enters the toll gate, the sticker will be automatically read by the sensor system, thus reducing the balance in the Let It Flo application. 

How to Use Flo 

Using Flo is very easy. Here are the steps. 

1. Attach the Flo RFID sticker to the car window, or more precisely at the position of the right headlight of the car. 
2. Top up your balance on the Let It Flo application before traveling on the toll road. To top up, open the Let It Flo application, then select RFID. Then choose a voucher according to your preference. This voucher is available starting from Rp10,000 to Rp20,000. Then make the payment. 
3. When you pass through the toll, the sensor at the toll gate will automatically read the presence of the RFID sticker, thus automatically reducing the balance in the Let It Flo application.

How to Register for Flo and Get the Sticker 

To obtain the RFID sticker, you need to register for the Flo application first. Here are the steps. 

1. First, open the AppStore or PlayStore on your phone.
2. Then download the Let It Flo application and install it.
3. Open the application and register by pressing the “Register” button on the application page.
4. Then enter a contactable phone number in the available field, then press the send button. Wait a moment until you receive an OTP code.
5. Then enter the OTP code you received, and press the “Confirm” button.
6. Then create a pin that is easy for you to remember, then press the “Continue” button.
7. Repeat the pin you created, then choose a question available in the application.
8. Then fill in your personal data according to the application form.
9. Once done, read the applicable terms and conditions, then press the “Agree” button and the registration process is successful.
10. To get the Flo sticker, you need to select the “Order RFID” menu.
11. Then press the “Add Order” button.
12. Then fill out the “Add Vehicle Data” form. In this form, you are asked to fill in the vehicle category, license plate number, and vehicle color. Once done, press the “Add Vehicle Data” button.
13. Then select the “Fitment Centers” menu, and choose the RFID installation location according to your nearest domicile.
14. Then make the payment by pressing the “Pay” button. Usually, you will be charged a fee of Rp150,000.
