Very Easy! Here's How to Turn Off the Car Alarm Without a Remote

The presence of a remote function is not just for locking and unlocking car doors. There is a feature embedded with a car alarm to prevent forced entry as a security feature. Sometimes, there are instances where the car alarm goes off by itself while the remote is malfunctioning or lost control.
Turning off the car alarm without a remote is not a difficult task. You can follow these steps to manually disable the car alarm.
1. Use the car key to unlock the door
Many car alarms are designed to turn off automatically when the car owner unlocks the door with the original key. Try inserting the car key into the door, then turn it to the lock and unlock position several times. The principle is that when the car is locked correctly, the alarm receives a signal to stop the sound.
2. Start the car as usual
Some car types are set to OFF when the car is started. The step to take is to manually open the car door with the key, then start the car as usual.
The car alarm will turn off by itself when the engine is running because the alarm sensor has detected the original key used to start the vehicle.
3. Turn off with the car key.
This method is the easiest to do when the two steps above do not work. Turn off the car engine again, then quickly insert the key into the starter hole, then turn back and forth from ACC to ON 10 times quickly and consistently.
This method can put the car alarm in a disarm position indicated by a sound that gets faster and then stops. Additionally, the blinking light will also turn off. The process of turning off the car alarm without a remote is complete. Next, check the condition of the alarm remote to see if the battery is dead or if it is indeed damaged.
4. Remove the alarm fuse
If the two methods above also do not work, you need to manually remove the alarm fuse. The theory is that when the power source is disconnected, the car alarm becomes inactive.
Use the car manual to find out the position of the fuse box in the car. Usually, this box is located in the engine compartment or cabin. Try to stay calm and do not panic, as the sound of the car alarm can be very disturbing. Don't forget to use needle-nose pliers to remove it because the fuse may be brittle and easily break.
The car alarm should immediately turn off when the fuse is removed. If you don't know where the fuse is located, try removing and reinstalling the fuses one by one to find out which fuse can turn off the car alarm.
If the alarm has stopped, then use the pliers again to put the fuse back in. The car alarm that has been reset should not go off again. But if the alarm still sounds, it seems the alarm needs to be repaired.
5. Reset the electrical system via the car battery
This method is considered the most effective step when all the above methods fail. You only need to disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. Loosen the terminal with the code (-) at the battery connection and there is no need to disconnect the positive cable (+). Then reconnect it, the alarm and electrical components in the car should turn off with this method.
However, it is important to remember that this method may reset all electrical systems in the car, including audio and the Electronic Control Unit (ECU). Therefore, it is better to call a service technician to perform this step.
Thus, five ways to turn off the car alarm without a remote. After that, check the condition of the remote at an official workshop so that your mobility is not disrupted.
