1. Observe the engine temperature needle, and ensure the needle is in the middle of the C and H marks

The engine temperature indicator is essentially already embedded in modern cars. This indicator usually takes the form of a temperature needle and is embedded in the dashboard. When the car's engine is first started, this indicator will inform that the temperature is cold.

However, when the car's engine starts to work, the indicator will move and be in a normal condition. You can tell this when the needle is between or in the middle of the "C" or Cold mark and the "H" or Hot mark. In this condition, the car's temperature indicator is at the best or normal temperature according to the temperature required by the car's radiator.

2. Check if the temperature indicator is on or not

For those of you who have cars with non-analog or digital temperature indicators. You need to pay attention to the temperature icon on the dashboard. In digital temperature indicators, needles are no longer used to show changes in engine temperature. Starting from the engine lacking power, the engine vibrating while the car is moving, to loud noises coming from the engine. If this happens, it is certain that the car's temperature indicator is too hot.

4. Check the radiator, thermostat, and extra fan components

To determine whether the car's temperature indicator is normal or not, you can check several other components such as radiator, thermostat, and extra fan. Make sure your car's radiator does not have any leaks. You also need to ensure that the radiator water level is always above the minimum reservoir limit so that the engine cooling system works properly. Also, ensure that the thermostat condition is not worn out.

If these components are worn out, the radiator water temperature cannot be regulated, thus increasing the radiator water temperature. Finally, you need to check the condition of the extra fan and whether it is working properly or not. If this component has issues, the car's temperature indicator will not be normal because the car's radiator cannot be cooled properly.
