Know 3 Easy Ways to Install a Car Alarm System
Cars are a valuable asset and are prone to theft, which often occurs in big cities.
Therefore, you must equip this four-wheeled vehicle with an alarm as a security system to prevent theft.
A car alarm system can be installed at home to save costs, here are the steps!
1. Choosing Central Lock
Before installing the alarm in the vehicle, you must first understand how the alarm works. Car owners should also choose the right and suitable alarm so that it can be installed properly.
Don't forget to pay attention to the GPS feature that makes it easier for you to find the car when parked. Before installing the alarm, you should also ensure its proper placement. Equally important, pay attention to the electrical installation required by the system.
Central lock is usually equipped with a drive actuator, pull and push wires, additional cables to be installed on 4 doors, and a central lock module.

2. Installing Central Lock
At this stage, you must be more careful to avoid any incorrect wiring. First, it is advisable to start the installation of the car alarm system by installing the lock actuator.
This component has 5 wires with different colors, installed in the main door where the driver's seat is located.
After that, the other lock actuator is installed on the other doors with green and blue wires. Second, connect the wires from the central lock to their respective places.
It is better if this component is installed under the dashboard so that it is not visible from the outside and is more protected, thus avoiding theft.
Third, you need to connect the power wire from the central lock to the battery. If this installation is correct, then the lock actuator on the other doors can connect.
It can even move when the locking lever goes up or down. The last step is to tidy up the wiring of this alarm according to its place.
Equally important, you must install the alarm or alarm siren in a hard-to-reach place. This car alarm system can be turned off manually, so the security system is instantly disabled.
Therefore, theft can succeed if the alarm is easily accessible and can be deactivated.
3. Connect Central Lock and Remote Alarm
The alarm installed inside the car must be able to sound and connect with the remote. Therefore, you need to connect the central lock module with the remote alarm.
This stage starts by connecting the red wire to the battery at the + terminal. Meanwhile, the black wire is connected to the car body at the negative terminal.
After that, connect the brown wire to the turn signal so that when the alarm sounds, the lights will turn on. Finally, this car alarm system requires a pink wire to be connected to the siren.
You can also add a relay if you want it to connect with the horn, so the alarm sounds together with the horn.
Car ownership is indeed considered one of the valuable assets, given the high price of this vehicle.
It is not surprising that car owners equip their vehicles with alarms to avoid theft. You can install an alarm in your car with simple steps and the right choice of central lock.
