Central Java Provincial Government Eliminates Outstanding Vehicle Taxes Until June 30, 2025
JAKARTA, MARCH 2025, Daihatsu friends residing in Central Java will receive good news regarding vehicle taxes. This is because the Central Java Provincial Government has eliminated the principal tax and fines for vehicle owners who have not paid taxes in previous years.
“The Motor Vehicle Tax receivables in Central Java amount to nearly IDR 2.8 trillion. Our community has not paid taxes,” said Ahmad Luthfi, the Governor of Central Java (Red-Kompas.com)
Basis of Policy and Time Period
Based on this, the policy of eliminating overdue vehicle taxes is being considered. The legal basis for this tax elimination refers to the Governor's Regulation (Pergub) Number 31 of 2024 concerning Regional Receivables Management.
The Central Java Government has taken the policy of eliminating overdue vehicle taxes from previous years. The hope is that the community will continue to pay vehicle taxes this year and in the following years.
Daihatsu friends residing in Central Java can take advantage of this policy. The local government has set a deadline until June 30, 2025.
