Drivers Must Know! Let's Check Out the Parts of a Car and Their Functions
It can be said that a vehicle will be difficult to move or start without several components inside it.
If one part is deliberately not installed, the vehicle may not function as it should.
Therefore, get to know the parts of the car and their functions below.
1. Engine Parts
The engine part functions to generate power to move the vehicle. The engine will convert the chemical energy from fuel into thermal energy and then into mechanical energy.
This transfer of energy is what can move the vehicle's wheels through the power transfer system.
Moreover, motor vehicle manufacturers intentionally provide engines with various very complex parts.
Each of these parts has its own function and task. The vehicle's engine also contains several supporting systems.
2. Power Transfer System
The second part of the car and its function is the power transfer system or the system that transfers power from the engine to the vehicle's wheels.
This part is a mechanism that is categorized into four types based on its location. These include front engine front drive, rear engine rear drive, four wheel drive, and front engine rear drive.
Not only that, the power transfer system or drivetrain is also divided into several parts based on the engine, such as the clutch, transmission, propeller shaft, and differential.
Similar to the engine, the power transfer system is also equipped with several components that have their own complex functions and tasks.

3. Suspension System
In addition to the two parts mentioned earlier, there are other parts that play a very important role in the vehicle, especially for the comfort of the driver, namely car suspension.
It can be said that these car parts and their functions are a collection of specific components assigned to absorb shocks and vibrations that occur in the car.
This usually happens when driving on uneven road surfaces. In fact, the suspension system is located between the body or frame and the wheels.
There are two main types of this part, namely the dependent suspension system and the independent suspension system. Meanwhile, the system consists of springs, shock absorbers, and suspension arms.
4. Supporting Parts or Car Body
A four-wheeled vehicle also requires a frame to support various engine components inside it. The parts inside include chassis, frame, and body.
The chassis is used as a place to attach various other car parts such as suspension, engine, wheels, transmission, and others.
5. Electrical Parts
The next important car parts and their functions are responsible for supplying electricity to various machines.
Known as the power source, this electrical part is indeed used to generate sparks in the spark plugs.
Where the spark is the main requirement that must be present to drive the car engine.
