Pentingnya Ganti Minyak Kopling Mobil Secara Rutin

When you perform car maintenance at the workshop. The workshop technician will check the car as a whole, starting from the engine parts to the car's clutch fluid. The workshop technician will check the clutch fluid to see if it is still remaining or empty. In addition, the workshop technician will also check the quality of the clutch fluid, whether it is still suitable for use or not.

Therefore, the replacement of clutch fluid must be done regularly and periodically. So why should the clutch fluid be replaced periodically and regularly? How important is it for the car? For more details, please pay attention to the review below.

Overview of Car Clutch Fluid

Before discussing the importance of changing clutch fluid, it is good for you to know about clutch fluid. Many may wonder, is car clutch fluid the same as brake fluid?  The answer is yes!

Clutch fluid is the fluid stored in the clutch cylinder. This fluid is also referred to as brake fluid.

When you press the clutch pedal, the fluid will flow from the master cylinder at the top to the clutch cylinder at the bottom. Thus, it lubricates the gear shifting parts, making it easier to shift gears.

Why Should Car Clutch Fluid Be Changed Regularly?

In addition to making it easier for you to shift gears, regularly changing clutch fluid can have a positive impact on your car.

  1. Extends the lifespan of the gears, making them more durable.
  2. Provides spring force on the clutch when pressed.
  3. Protects transmission components, making them last longer.
  4. Increases safety while driving, as it lightens gear shifting, making it easier for you to reduce the car's speed.

Negative Effects of Rarely Changing Exhausted Clutch Fluid

Here are the negative effects you may experience if the clutch fluid is not changed regularly:

1. Air accompanied by water vapor enters the clutch cylinder

The first negative impact you should be wary of is when air accompanied by water vapor enters the clutch cylinder.

If this happens, the brake fluid will become contaminated. Thus, pressure will arise when the clutch pedal is pressed. If this pressure is allowed to continue, water vapor and high temperatures will develop inside the cylinder, leading to corrosion.

2. Transmission gears feel harder to shift

The next negative impact is that it makes the gear shifting heavier, harder, and difficult to shift. This is very dangerous for your safety while driving the car.

When you drive at high rpm, and you have pressed the clutch pedal too deep but the transmission gear is difficult to shift. Then reducing the car's speed becomes difficult, increasing the risk of an accident.

3. A clicking sound occurs during gear shifting

When the clutch fluid is rarely changed, the quality of the fluid also decreases. This results in a negative impact, making the transmission shifting more difficult.

Additionally, the transmission will also produce a clicking sound that is very disturbing when the transmission gear is shifted. Besides the decreased quality of the fluid, this issue is also caused by leaks in the master clutch area.

4. Gears wear out and get damaged easily

If the gears are difficult to shift, the transmission gears will suffer significant damage or wear. This will require you to replace several transmission components. This will incur significant costs.

5. Clutch pedal feels like it's slipping

Another negative impact is that the clutch pedal will feel like it's slipping when pressed, even if pressed too deep. This is very dangerous for your safety while driving the car.

Considering the many negative impacts you may experience when not regularly changing the clutch fluid as mentioned above. Surely, you do not want to experience those negative impacts, right?

Therefore, you must regularly change your car's clutch fluid, whether you do it yourself or visit the nearest Daihatsu dealer or authorized workshop.
