The Singosari Toll Road is an important access point for land transportation in East Java because this toll road connects two major cities in East Java, namely Surabaya and Malang. This toll road stretches from the Malang Toll Gate to the Waru Toll entrance, playing a crucial role in improving the accessibility of the community in East Java to access either Surabaya or Malang.

Before the construction of the Singosari Toll Road, the estimated travel time from Surabaya to Malang or vice versa took a very long time, around four to five hours.
