Diesel Cars: Diesel vehicles weighing under 3.5 tons and produced after 2010 must have opacity (smoke thickness) levels not exceeding 40%.

Vehicle Emission Testing Procedure

Vehicles older than three years are required to undergo emission testing regularly. You can visit various locations that provide this service, ranging from official workshops to local Environmental Agency offices. Here is the basic procedure for vehicle emission testing:

Installing the Measuring Device: Technicians will install a gas measuring device on the vehicle's exhaust. To obtain accurate results, the vehicle must be in a state where all electrical devices are turned off, such as the AC, radio, and lights.
Measurement: The car's engine will be started for about 5-7 minutes to measure exhaust emissions such as Hydrocarbons (HC), Carbon Monoxide (CO), Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrogen Oxides (NOx), and Oxygen (O2).
Testing Results: The levels of exhaust gases will be recorded, and if they pass the emission standards, the vehicle owner will receive an emission testing pass certificate.
