- Disconnect the car battery
- Drain the engine oil until the oil pan is empty
- Remove the air filter from the cylinder head
- Remove the radiator and radiator fan
- Remove the starter motor and its alternator
- Remove the water pump
- Next, if the car uses a turbo, remove the turbocharger oil pipe
- Remove the fuel filter
- Remove the injection lines
- Remove the oil filter
- Remove the springs and pull tensioner
