Inilah Penyebab Radiator Mobil Cepat Panas & Cara Mengatasinya

Understanding the causes of a hot car radiator early on can prevent engine overheating. A car that is overheating has a high potential to cause car fires

So how do you deal with a car radiator that is already hot? For more details, please pay attention to the following review.

Causes of a Hot Car Radiator and How to Overcome It

A car radiator can be said to be a machine cooler to keep the engine temperature stable and not too hot. However, under certain conditions, the car radiator may not function as it should.

As a result, this component heats up quickly and needs to be addressed immediately to avoid other problems such as car fires. Here are the causes and how to deal with a hot car radiator.

1. A leak in the radiator or radiator hose

A car radiator that heats up quickly can occur due to a leak in the radiator hose or the car radiator itself. To address this issue, you can turn off the car engine first. Then check the front bottom of the car or the car bumper to ensure there is a leak. If there is a leak, there will usually be radiator water droplets in that area.

In addition, you can check for corrosion or rust around the radiator area. If there is, immediately replace the radiator hose or radiator components with the help of an expert mechanic at the nearest workshop.

2. A blockage in the radiator water circulation flow

Blocked water circulation in the radiator due to dirt or rust in the radiator grille and water pump can also cause the car radiator to heat up quickly. This happens because the air exchange inside the radiator is not optimal, so the heat in the engine cannot be expelled properly.

To solve this problem, you can use the right water coolant so that the water pump does not rust easily. Regularly clean the radiator grille area and replace the worn fan belt so that the radiator water circulation can work optimally.

3. The radiator cooling fan is off or reversed

A cooling fan that is off, as well as a reversed radiator fan installation, can also cause the car radiator to heat up quickly. To avoid this, you just need to pay attention to the correct installation position of the radiator fan. If the radiator cooling fan has stopped working, replace it with a new component immediately.

4. Using coolant that does not match the radiator specifications

Using coolant should not be arbitrary, as it can damage the car radiator. For example, if you use mineral water as radiator fluid, the result will be that the car radiator will quickly damage the radiator hose and the water pump will easily get dirty and rusted.

The accumulation of dirt and rust inside the radiator is caused by a chemical reaction between mineral content, metals, and other substances with the surface of the radiator components. It is advisable to use coolant or special fluid for filling the radiator to avoid dirt deposits, scale, or damage to the radiator.

5. Using fuel that does not meet the car specifications

Every car on the market certainly has its own fuel standards. If the car uses fuel below the specified octane standard, it will cause the car radiator to heat up quickly. To address this condition, you can refuel according to the octane specifications required by your car.

6. Using the wrong oil

The use of oil also affects the temperature condition of the car radiator. If you use low-quality oil, it can be ensured that it will make the engine rotation heavy. This condition can cause the car radiator to overheat quickly.

To address this condition, you just need to replace your oil with quality oil such as Daihatsu Genuine Oil. To obtain it, you can simply purchase it at the nearest Daihatsu dealer
