Collection of Successful Young People in Indonesia

Successful people in Indonesia are those who have managed to own rapidly growing companies and, of course, have other assets of significant value. Most successful people in Indonesia are indeed dominated by older individuals. However, that doesn't mean young people can't be successful.
Here is a list of a collection of successful people in Indonesia who are still relatively young. Who are they?
Achmad Zaky
At a relatively young age, Achmad Zaky has already achieved success. Born in 1986, he started his journey by opening a noodle shop that ended in failure and depleted his savings. However, it was through this failure that he tried something new that became his expertise, which is opening a technology consulting service.
With a background in computer engineering, Zaky saw the opportunity that many Indonesians had not yet utilized the internet at that time. Together with some friends, Zaky began creating a buying and selling platform called Bukalapak in 2010.
He also offered to several stores in malls to list their products on Bukalapak. However, many rejected him. Interestingly, the ones who were happy with this offer were small shops that struggled to sell their goods.
Starting from here, Zaky and his friends focused Bukalapak on advancing MSMEs in Indonesia to achieve greater turnover. To this day, many MSMEs have joined Bukalapak. The skyrocketing success of Bukalapak has made Achmad Zaky one of the successful young individuals in Indonesia.
William Tanuwijaya
Another successful young person is William Tanuwijaya. If you are not familiar with him, you must know his platform, Tokopedia. Tokopedia ranks as the second most popular marketplace after Shopee in Indonesia.
William Tanuwijaya's success did not come easily. He faced many struggles. William used to work as an internet cafe operator, and from there he got the idea of creating a buying and selling platform similar to those in the global arena like eBay and Alibaba.
Together with his partner Leontinus Alpha Edison, William finally launched Tokopedia in 2009. In 2014, Tokopedia received funding from SoftBank and Sequoia Capital, which became a significant leap to its current status.
Ferry Unardi
For those of you who love to travel, you must be familiar with the name Traveloka. Behind Traveloka, do you know about Ferry Unardi?
Before it became as big as it is now, Traveloka in 2012 was just a website providing e-ticketing that pulled API data from third parties. However, over time, many people found the Traveloka e-ticketing system helpful and began to flood the site with traffic.
After the traffic on Traveloka's website increased significantly, several airlines became interested in collaborating with Traveloka and offered profit sharing. To this day, you can see many services offered by Traveloka, ranging from flight tickets, train tickets, hotels, and monthly bill payments. Everything is there.
Nadiem Makarim
In addition to these three, Nadiem Makarim is also among the successful young individuals in Indonesia. Although he is now the Minister of Education, Nadiem still holds shares in Gojek, one of the successful startups in the transportation sector.
Gojek's journey at its inception around 2015 faced a lot of criticism and rejection from transportation sectors like taxis and public minivans. However, you can see how conventional taxis now collaborate with Gojek. Not only that, Gojek has also ventured into food delivery and other services.
These are some of the successful young individuals in Indonesia. Hopefully, they can serve as an inspiration for your success.
