Causes of ISC Not Functioning

Causes of ISC Malfunction
Based on the brief explanation, it can be concluded that a damaged pintle will be one of the many causes of sudden ISC malfunction.
Another sign indicating that the ISC is damaged is a worn pintle tip. The cause of damage to the pintle generally occurs due to prolonged usage.
As it ages, the pintle will not work optimally like new, leading to damage in several parts. Its declining durability is the main reason for the damage to the pintle. When the condition worsens, it is feared that it could cause air leaks.
A leaking pintle can certainly affect the performance of other engine components, as the vehicle's rpm becomes uncontrollable due to sudden fluctuations even when the driver is not pressing the vehicle's pedal. If such a condition is found, immediately take your vehicle to the nearest service center.
If you are still unsure about the cause of the ISC malfunction, please check with the help of an ohmmeter. This is necessary because generally, vehicles will be equipped with coils with a certain resistance value. The resistance value will regulate how much the pintle opens to ensure that the required air supply is met during idling.
